Trevor Plouffe - Star Wars Bobblehead

I forgot to do an update on this bobblehead.  The Twins released a photo of the Plouffe Skywalker bobblehead.  Pretty cool!  It's a special event bobblehead which means a special ticket is needed to receive the bobble.  I'm a fan of these "outside the box" bobbleheads that many teams are doing and I'm glad the Twins jumped on board.  I like the classic version too and hope they continue to do them, but 1 non-classic version per season is pretty sweet.

NASCAR Pit Pals Bobbleheads

So this one is a big outside my collection but there is a reason I have it.  Valvoline and Hendrick Motorsports teamed up to do 4 NASCAR bobbleheads of Hendrick's stable of drivers.  Pit Pals is the catchy name for these 4 bobbles.  The 4 drivers are Chase Elliot, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Kasey Kahne.  Im a NASCAR fan and have even been to a few races.  Jr is my favorite driver and since he was included in the set, I figured - why not add it to the collection.  They come in their own unique "boxes" too - which happens to be look-a-like oil cans.  Overall a very cool set, and pretty well done bobbles since they are promotional items for buying Valvoline oil.

US Bank Bobblehead

Here's a random Minnesota based bobblehead - US Bank.  It's a very cool bobble and a recent new addition to the collection.  I have no idea where it came from but Im guessing it was a promotional item in the early 2000s that US Bank gave to customers for opening up a bank account or something. I hadn't seen this one before, but glad its part of my collection!

Owatonna Huskies Bobblehead

Here's my latest addition to my high school bobblehead collection.  The Owatonna Huskies!  I hope that as more and more people read my blog, people will start contacting me regarding other high school related bobbles.  Right now I have no idea what other high school bobbleheads there are, but I'm sure there are plenty!  So - to all my readers - let me know if you know of any!

Park High Wolfpack Bobblehead

My latest addition to the high school bobblehead portion of my collection comes from Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.  I don't know much about the bobblehead at all, but its a very cool "Wolfpack" mascot!  

Jeff Frazee Bobblehead

Here's a recent new addition of mine.  Jeff Frazee played at the University of Minnesota and grew up in Burnsville.  After his Gopher career, he played mostly for the Lowell Devils, minor league affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.  Frazee has had 2 giveaway bobbleheads - both by Lowell.

Sneak Peek - Miguel Sano Bobblehead

Well...this is better than nothing.  Picture is super small - I'm working on getting a better one.  Here's a sneak peek at the upcoming Miguel Sano bobblehead.  Twins play the Yankees on Saturday June 18th and one of the more popular Twins giveaways this season (if not the most popular) will be the Sano bobble!  Once I get a better picture, updated!!

Gorgui Dieng Bobblehead Night

The Wolves are giving away the final bobblehead in their set of 5 tomorrow night at Target Center. Gorgui Dieng will now have his very own bobblehead.  It's funny to think about when the Wolves announced the 5 players, Dieng was somewhat of a surprise.  As it turns out, the 5 bobbleheads happen to be the 5 starters!  Here's a sneak peek at the Dieng bobblehead, I'll update with better pictures once I have them!

Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors - Eden Prairie

Here's another new addition.  I don't know much about it, but its a vintage style (ahem, even has the typical cracks on the head) bobblehead from the Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors.  I saw this one and new I'd buy it because the phone number was local.  That was the giveaway. I don't know much else about it.

Roady - Cedar Rapids Kernels

I always tell myself I have to have a reason to buy a bobblehead that isn't necessarily from Minnesota or a player affiliated with Minnesota (it makes me sleep better at night).  This is one of those bobbles. Ron "Roady" Plein is the clubhouse manager for the Cedar Rapids Kernels, of course they are the Twins Class A Affiliate (see, there is the reason I needed).  This bobblehead was given away in 2012 as Roady is an icon in the Cedar Rapids area and easily one of the most sought after collectibles for the locals!  

President Anne Blackhurst - Minnesota State University Moorhead

I love this bobblehead!  It fits perfectly into my "Minnesota" themed collection and I was excited to get it.  A buddy of mine had told me about it and after a few emails it was on its way to me.  I've had it for several months now but finally got around to taking some pictures of "recent" (yes, I use that term extremely lightly) additions.  Usually when I get new bobbleheads for my collection, they go straight into a storage tote.  Unfortunately most of my collection isn't currently displayed.  This one is on the smaller side and I think I forgot to grab pictures of it when going through this tote a few months ago.  I follow President Blackhurst on Twitter and I saw a few of her posts which made me realize I hadn't blogged about this specific bobblehead yet!  Read more about Anne here!  She's pretty awesome.
