2004 NHL All Star Game Bobblehead

As I was going through some boxes of my bobbleheads I came across this one and had to grab a couple pictures.  Its a prototype from the 2004 NHL All Star Game that was held at the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul Minnesota.  Several teams had bobbleheads produced, similar to the 2003 MLB ASG Bobbles on Parade.  This one depicts the ASG with its surroundings, the Xcel Energy Center as well as other Minnesota themed things.  Probably one of the hardest Minnesota related bobbleheads out there.

New Addition - Mini Joe Mauer Big Head

One of my focuses lately has been on retail bobbleheads.  Its hard to know what retail bobbleheads were available 15-20 years ago when all of this took off.  Once it did, retail vendors, namely Forever Collectibles (FOCO) grabbed the market and hasn't looked back.  Here's a Mauer mini Big Head that I hadn't known about til I saw it.

When it comes to retail bobbleheads in present day, they are fairly easy to get (some are quite limited, but you can find them).  Back then I'm unsure how retail bobbleheads hit the market as websites were fairly new at the time and the online space was just getting started in the collecting world.

But a fun new add to the collection!

Wow its been a long time!!

Over a year since I blogged.  How sad is that?  Actually not sad at all, its because I'm really fucking busy!  But this is something I enjoy and really am going to try to get back to.  I use to blog about information or recent finds or upcoming bobbleheads.  That'll still happen but at this point I'm just not sure how often it'll happen.  I just dont have the time like I did long ago.  Those were the days.  My 3 kiddos take up a bunch of my time now and I wouldn't change it for the world.  But I still want to help.  I use to get quite a bit of emails or posts on my blogs (probably because it was consistently updated).  So if you are out there and have questions or need help locating a bobblehead, ask me!  I'll try to help if I can.  If you want rare, super hard to find ones, get on my list - truly there is a small list of people that are looking for those unique rare bobbles, the Carl Pohlad, the dual Mauer/Morneau, or any other ones that aren't easy to locate.

So with that being said, Im going to try to do this more often now.  Keep coming back!
