I believe this is a talking bobblehead. I've seen a few other announcer type bobbleheads and some of them have a couple sayings in the announcers voice when a button is pressed. I've seen this one in person before but at the time, I was only looking at Gopher bobbleheads. Wish I would have known then that my collection would quickly outgrow only Goldy! I don't know much of anything on this one, if you do, let me know!

Carl Pohlad Bobblehead
Here's another bobblehead I don't know much about - Carl Pohlad. I've heard rumblings that it was given away at a very small "invite only" team event. I've also heard that only 50 were given away and most went to Twins front office people and close friends of Mr. Pohlad. I'd love to add this one to my collection, but just can't see paying the dollars, rather, hundreds and hundreds of dollars it would take to buy one. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky sometime. Its a gem.

Lou Gehrig & Tom Brunansky Bobbleheads
Back in February I blogged about the 2014 Minnesota Twins SGA bobblehead games. At that time we know there would be 4 bobblehead giveaways (later changed to 5 with the Sid Hartman giveaway). Harmon Killebrew on June 20th, Lou Gehrig on July 4th, Tom Brunansky on July 5th and a bobblehead celebrating a player named to this year's All-Star game. Click the hyperlink above to read that blog. At the time I was excited to see what the bobbleheads would look like. We now know what 2 of them will look like or at least what they appear to look like based on the Twins promotional site. Below are pictures of the Brunansky and Gehrig bobbleheads. You'll notice both have a brown base, not a surprise on the Gehrig bobble, but somewhat of one regarding Brunansky. I was expecting the typical green base. Check 'em out!
(Sorry about the poor quality...once I find better quality pictures, I'll update this post)

Simply one of the best college basketball coaches
Don Meyer was a basketball coach at Northern State University. At one time he held the record for most wins by a college basketball coach. Check out his Wikipedia page here! A few years ago, in 2010 Don Meyer bobbleheads were given away. Other than that, I don't know much about them. Obviously this one is on my want list.

The Holy Grail of Gopher bobbleheads
I think my next several blog posts will consist of bobbleheads I don't know much about. The story behind the bobblehead is just as intriguing to me as the bobblehead itself. My first post in this series is what I consider to be the "Holy Grail" of Minnesota Golden Gopher bobbleheads.
The Neal Broten Gopher hockey bobblehead. I've only seen it in pictures...and actually that shouldn't even be plural, I've only seen one picture of it, the one below. If you happen to have any information on this bobblehead, please, please email me or leave a comment. I'd love to learn more about it, when it was produced, if it was a giveaway or not and how many were produced.

Sid Hartman Day - May 18th 2014
This past Sunday was Sid Hartman Day at Target Field. The Twins celebrated the legacy of Sid Hartman and all his "close personal friends." Back in March I posted about a special Hartman bobblehead the Twins were giving away. I bought a couple tickets for the game so Jess and I could go. Only 1000 of these bobbleheads were given away and you had to have special tickets in order to receive the bobblehead. The Twins did an excellent job of getting out that information. I received 2 emails and a phone call suggesting how I go about getting the bobblehead at the game. This is the third Hartman bobblehead. The other 2 were giveaways long ago. All 3 are sponsored by the Star Tribune. Check out the trio below! (The 2014 bobblehead is in the center)

Minnesota Twins ST Bobblehead Set (Part 10 - Years 2010-2013)
I'm bunching years 2010 thru 2013 into one blog post. Why you ask, for one simple reason, there weren't many ST bobbleheads during those years. 2009 was the last year the Twins did a set of 4 bobbleheads.
2010 was the Legends of the Dome set (Kirby Puckett & Kent Hrbek). This was produced as a set, both bobbleheads came in one box. Then I believe in 2011 they did a Mauer/Morneau double bobblehead - which I do not have. In 2012 they did a Josh Willingham red base bobblehead and most recently in 2013 they did one of my favorite bobbleheads, Joe Mauer wearing a powder blue jersey. This one is also different because its on a green base instead of the normal red base for season ticket holders.
Below are some pictures...enjoy!!

Minnesota Twins ST Bobblehead Set (Part 9 - Year 2009)
This is probably the least appealing ST bobblehead set the Twins produced. Dan Gladden, Ron Gardenhire, Rick Aguilera and Delmon Young make up this set - certainly leaves a lot to be desired huh? And that's all I'm going to say.
And here's the comparison with the 2008 SGA bobblehead set. Look on...in amazement...or perhaps sheer bore.

Minnesota Twins ST Bobblehead Set (Part 8 - Year 2008)
Here we have the 2008 ST bobblehead set. Anytime baby jesus is in bobblehead form, it'll be a popular set. Add in Morneau and you've got a pretty decent set all around. The set isn't very valuable (mainly because you can find these 4 bobbleheads pretty easily) but its a nice set nonetheless. Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer and Gary Gaetti make up the foursome.
Here's the comparison with the 2007 SGA set. As you can see - no difference whatsoever between the 2 sets. We are accustomed to that by now, aren't we!?!
