New Add - Concordia Cobbers

This is a recent addition of mine.  I found it from a Cobber graduate and was super happy to add it to my collection.  I'm not sure how many different Cobber bobbleheads there are, but this is the second one of my collection.  There is a similar one with different writing on the base - for the Power Bowl, click the link to read more about that.

My 2nd SAMs Twins Bobblehead

From what I know, SAMs produced 3 different Twins bobbleheads.  Kirby Puckett, Rod Carew, and this one - a generic player.  I have the Puckett, continue my quest for the Carew and recently added the generic one.  The SAMs bobbles are pretty cool, but different than normal giveaway bobbles, they are taller and typically a lot more fragile.  They originally came in a specific player box along with a COA card.  Unfortunately this one didn't have the box or card, but for the price, it was a no-brainer for me.  Perhaps I can find one with the box and card in the future to replace this one.  For now, I'm happy to be 66% done with this mini-collection.

Sneak Peek - Adam Brett Walker Bobblehead

On Saturday (the 25th of June) the Chattanooga Lookouts will be giving out 1000 bobbleheads of Twins minor league slugger, Adam Brett Walker.  This is the first in a series of 3 bobbleheads the Lookouts are doing this season.  This one looks pretty cool!  I might be biased, but I think the Lookouts logo is one of the best.  If you are thinking of going, click here for tickets!

Brian Dozier Bobblehead

Yesterday it was Miguel Sano at the Twins game, today its Brian Dozier at the Beloit Snappers game. This also looks like a pretty sweet bobble.  Based on previous Snappers bobbles, I'm guessing this will be a bit smaller than the normal size bobble, it won't be a mini, but many minor league teams do bobbles that are in the 5 inch range.  I'm sure cost is the major factor, and they still are great looking bobbles!

Miguel Sano Bobblehead

Today is the day, the first SGA bobblehead for the Minnesota Twins, Miguel Sano.  This is also Sano's first Twins SGA bobblehead as well.  He's had minor league bobbles, but never from the big club.  It's a sweet looking bobblehead, done by Success Promotions - which if you've been reading the blog for any length of time, you'll know that I'm a big fan of Success Promotions.  They do great work!  Go Twins!

It's real - Joe Mauer & Justin Morneau Dual Bobblehead - Red Base

I've had a few people inquire about this bobblehead over the past month or so and have seen several others chat about it on various forms of social media, specifically Facebook.  I've been meaning to take some pictures of mine and blog about it, but this just ramped up my willingness to dig mine out.

I'll start by saying I don't know a ton about this bobblehead.  I've only heard stories and haven't been able to get second and third confirmations of said stories.  Since its a red base bobblehead, I'm pretty confident that these were only given to season ticket holders.  That's where my confidence ends in accurately sharing the story behind this bobble.  I've been told 2 different stories - both relating to the purchase of season tickets.  I believe these were given to season ticket holders in 2009 (to those renewing their seats for the first season at Target Field) or in 2010.

Story 1 - Twins gave this rare bobblehead set to people who had season tickets either for a long long time or purchased season tickets in some of the most expensive locations at Target Field.

Story 2 - The Twins gave the bobble to new season ticket holders who purchased their ticket plan at "The Great Minnesota Get-Together" (Minnesota State Fair).

I tend to believe the 2nd story more as I'm sure during a day 10 period, near the end of the baseball season, not many fans were thinking about purchasing season ticket plans.  No matter where this bobble came from, its definitely one of my favorite bobbleheads the Twins have done!

New Addition - Chris Doleman

I've blogged about this bobble a few times already.  I was pretty excited when I heard the news of this one being released.  The York Revolution released about 10 days ago and from everything I heard, it was really well received.  Doleman, a former Viking standout is depicted in bobblehead form here wearing his high school jersey.  It even came with a personalized box as well!  Great bobble!

Sneak Peek - Bill Taunton Bobblehead

On July 6th, the Willmar Stingers will be giving away a Bill Taunton bobblehead.  This is somewhat of a sneak peek, but kinda not.  This bobblehead (the exact some one) was also a giveaway last year by the Stingers.  Taunton is a pretty damn popular local hero and the Stingers wanted to bring back the bobbleheads one more time!  Get your tickets here!

New Addition - Paul Bunyan Bobblehead

Here is one of my most recent additions!  A buddy of mine found this for me as he knew I was looking for it.  This Paul Bunyan bobblehead is from a town celebration in Hackensack, MN.  It's part of a set of 3 bobbleheads, of course with Babe the Blue Ox and Paul's girlfriend, Lucette!  I hope to find those bobbleheads sometime soon!

Chris Doleman Bobblehead

Back in March I announced an upcoming bobblehead date that a lot of Minnesota fans would be excited about, especially Viking fans!  Check that blog out here!

Well, tomorrow is the day!  The York Revolution will be handing out 1500 Doleman bobbleheads! Unlike some bobbleheads, the likeness to Doleman is spot on.  As a Viking fan and Doleman being a favorite of mine, this bobblehead looks awesome!
