New Addition - Doug Mientkiewicz

Here's another new add of mine, a very tiny Doug Mientkiewicz bobblehead.  This one comes from the New Britain Rock Cats several years ago.  This is the SGA version and they also did a retail version (same thing except no plaque on the base).  It's probably the smallest bobblehead I own!  

New Addition - Kurtis Gabriel

One of my recent additions comes from the Iowa Wild.  They did a Kurtis Gabriel giveaway bobblehead, along with bobblefists!  I knew from the second I saw it that Success Promotions did this one.  It's their classic base (which I love) and also added in a nice touch by including the gloves on the "ice" or base of the bobble.  

New Addition - Surge (Iowa Energy)

The Minnesota Timberwolves recently acquired the Iowa Energy as their D-League affiliate.  There had been plenty of talk and rumors about the Wolves wanting a D-League affiliate, the question was, where that team would play.  Plenty of talk about starting a team in Rochester, Duluth or Sioux Falls, ultimately the Wolves bought the Iowa Energy.  This isn't the first Minnesota related bobblehead I have from the Energy - as they did a Ricky Rubio bobblehead a couple seasons ago.  This new addition is of their mascot, Surge.  Pretty cool and rare bobble and am happy to add it to the collection!

New Addition - Coach Don Meyer

I've been searching for this bobblehead for a long time.  It's not exactly Minnesota related (although he did coach at Hamline) but its cool nonetheless.  This is a bobblehead of Coach Don Meyer from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  I've blogged about this bobblehead before, you can read more here.  

Sneak Peek - Ryan Suter Madison Capitols

Here's a sneak peek of an upcoming bobblehead that many Minnesota Wild fans will love!  The Madison Capitols are giving away this Ryan Suter bobblehead (sponsored by Kwik Trip) on March 10th!  Suter grew up in Madison and is a local fan favorite!

I'll update the blog as soon as I can once more details (and pictures) are revealed.  Typically pictures aren't available until closer to the giveaway date as I'm sure the Twins are only in initial stages right now of developing and creating each bobblehead with the vendor.  I believe (and I'm very happy to have this belief) Success Promotions will be doing several of the bobbles, I can't say for certain that it'll be all of them, but at least a few!

Sneak Peek - Rod Carew Bobblehead

The 5th bobblehead that I'm aware of is a Rod Carew giveaway bobblehead.  My hunch is it'll be centered around the "Heart of 29" campaign the Twins launched last year.  I'm sure this will be a popular bobble as Carew is a fan favorite!  Once I have more details and a picture, I'll update this post! 

Sneak Peek - Michael Cuddyer HOF Bobblehead

The 4th bobblehead I know about this season is a Twins Hall of Fame Michael Cuddyer giveaway.  I'm sure it'll include some sort of HOF plaque or display.  Once I know more details, I'll share them!

Sneak Peek - Brian Dozier Storm Trooper Bobblehead

The Star Wars Edition bobblehead will be a Storm Trooper Brian Dozier.  I'm sure Dozier was the first pick for the Star Wars bobble but am guessing there had to be a 2nd and maybe even 3rd option because of all the trade speculation Dozier was involved in.  Since he's still with the team, the Twins will do everything they can to promote him.  He's a fan favorite and lets face it, promoting a guy like him isn't hard for several reasons.  Low key, down to earth guy, clutch player and the more his name is out there, as long as his stats are solid, the more perceived value he has.

Sneak Peek - TC Bear Bobblehead

The second bobblehead I know about is the TC Bear bobble the Twins are doing.  I'll update this post with a picture and a date once I have more info!

Sneak Peek - Rocket Raccoon Bobblehead

Yesterday I blogged about a couple bobbleheads that the Twins had announced.  Today we got to see the first picture of one of them.  Check out the picture below to see a Rocket Raccoon (fans of Guardians of the Galaxy will definitely want to add this one).  Marvel will sponsor this one (I believe a handful of other teams are doing the same bobble, just in their team colors and logo).  The giveaway is May 6th, I believe this is also Super Hero night, but am unsure if this is a regular giveaway or theme night (which a special ticket is required) giveaway.  Once I know more, you'll know more!

2017 Twins Bobbleheads

Thanks to my buddy Zane, we learned a little bit about the giveaway bobbleheads for 2017.  I'm on vacation right now...enjoying 75 degree weather with an ocean view but have a 7 month old by my side so while she's napping, I can type up a quick blog post.

There wasn't too much info, but the good news is the Twins will do the first ever SGA bobblehead of TC Bear, I've been clamoring for the Bear to get a bobblehead for quite some time.  I love mascot bobbleheads and TC will be a great one.  The other bobblehead that was mentioned was that of Rocket Raccoon, on SuperHero Day.  My hope is they tie in a player to be part of that bobblehead.  It sounds like it'll be a theme night giveaway (which means special ticket).  Based on the Guaranteed Giveaway and Theme Night pack details, there will be a Star Wars bobblehead as well.  

 Somewhere between 4 and 6 bobbleheads are expected.  My hunch is it'll be 6.  The 2 theme night bobbles (SuperHero and Star Wars) and 4 regular giveaways (TC Bear being the only one we currently know).  I can only hope that Success Promotions does the bobbleheads this year.  This week the Twins are doing their Twitter reveal of 5 promos, my hunch is either the 4th or the 5th will be the TC Bear bobble.  The full promo schedule will be released on February 20th!  And the Theme Night schedule should be out on March 7th.
