New Addition - Mr Shucks

I love mascots, especially when they are Minnesota mascots or mascots of Minnesota affiliated teams.  Here's one of the favorites - Mr Shucks from the Cedar Rapids Kernels!  He is part of a book club for kids and a promo for the club is a Mr Shucks bobblehead, I'm sure there aren't a ton of these but luckily I was able to add one to the collection recently! 

New Add - Zach Johnson (Cedar Rapids Kernels)

Here's another new addition of mine, Zach Johnson from the Cedar Rapids Kernels.  I don't have a ton of golfers, but this one fits my collection as its from a Twins affiliate (granted, the giveaway happened around 2010 or earlier, when they weren't the affiliate).  It's a pretty hard to find bobble! 

New Addition - Royce Lewis Bobblehead

This one was unveiled in my last sneak peek.  As usual, the Kernels have done a great job on another bobblehead!  It was a pretty successful night as well!  Lewis is a stud in the making and this will hopefully be his first of several Twins (or their affiliate) bobbles!

Sneak Peek - Royce Lewis Bobblehead

Tonight, the Cedar Rapids Kernels (Twins single A affiliate) will be giving away a bobblehead of last year's #1 draft pick, Royce Lewis!  The Kernels have been spot on the last several years with their bobblehead giveaways and this is no different.  1000 of these will be handed out to all fans and it's sure to be a popular bobble!  Get your tickets here!!

Sneak Peek - Mike Trout (Kernels)

The Cedar Rapids Kernels are giving away a Mike Trout bobblehead this Saturday, the 17th of June! I know, I know, Trout has nothing to do with the Twins or Minnesota.  However, the Kernels certainly do!  Obviously they are an affiliate of the Twins and a great one since its not a bad drive from the Twin Cities to Cedar Rapids!  The Kernels used to be an Angels affiliate and Trout is one of the most popular players that played for them.  Plenty of minor league teams do giveaways of guys that have no affiliation with their current major league affiliate.  I'm doing the same thing if I'm the Kernels. Sneak Peek - Byron Buxton Bobblehead

On Friday, July 8th, the Cedar Rapids Kernels are giving away a Byron Buxton bobblehead!  Buxton is a hugely popular player and Im sure this will go over quite well in the land of bobblehead collecting! This is the second giveaway bobblehead of Buxton (last year New Britain did one) and its the first of 2 bobbles for Byron this year (Chattanooga is doing one at the end of the month)!  The Kernels always do a great job with their bobbleheads and this one is no different, I love the look of it as its something a bit different, but perfect for Buxton, since he's a defensive stud!  For all of the Midwestern readers, Cedar Rapids isn't too far away!  Get your tickets here for the game!

Roady - Cedar Rapids Kernels

I always tell myself I have to have a reason to buy a bobblehead that isn't necessarily from Minnesota or a player affiliated with Minnesota (it makes me sleep better at night).  This is one of those bobbles. Ron "Roady" Plein is the clubhouse manager for the Cedar Rapids Kernels, of course they are the Twins Class A Affiliate (see, there is the reason I needed).  This bobblehead was given away in 2012 as Roady is an icon in the Cedar Rapids area and easily one of the most sought after collectibles for the locals!  

2016 Bobbleheads - Cedar Rapids Kernels

The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced they are doing a Byron Buxton bobblehead giveaway this season.  July 8th is the day and it'll be given to the first 1000 fans.  Im sure this one will be a popular one.  As always, once I get pictures of the giveaways I'll update this post.  Thats the only bobblehead the Kernels are doing this year, but as Twins fans we should be excited for it!

New Collection - Replica Stadiums

While collecting bobbleheads I've drawn an interest to mini stadiums.  I think they are super cool, especially the older ones and ones with all sorts of detail.  I have several and again, I'm mainly collecting Minnesota based stadiums or ties to Minnesota (for instance, some of the ones you'll see are from the Twins minor league teams).  These are what I currently would like to add to my stadium collection.  I'm sure there are others out there that I haven't seen or don't know about - so if you have something you think might catch my eye - let me know!!

Sneak Peek - Jon Teig Bobblehead - Cedar Rapids Kernels

Here's a quick sneak peek of a bobblehead the Cedar Rapids Kernels are giving out on August 7th. Jon Teig is the bat boy for the Kernels and has been for 15 years.  Scheels sponsored the bobblehead and it's a pretty cool one!  I believe only 1000 of these will be released, so get your tickets now!
