Minnesota Twins Manager Set

I've also blogged about this set in the past, please read about it here.  This a complete set of all the Twins managers to date.  It had a production run of 1000, double that of the 1965 Heroes Katrina set.  This is part of my collection but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of this set.  Maybe because several of these managers didn't leave much of a mark?  And based on the past few seasons...Gardy seems to always be in jeopardy of losing his job.  Tom Kelly (per usual) is probably the gem of this set, TK bobbleheads seem to do pretty well most of the time.

It's a neat set but glad I didn't pay much for it.  Recently I've seen these sets priced at $400ish on eBay and $300 on Craigslist.  Unfortunately for the sellers...they aren't getting those prices.

Minnesota Twins ST Bobblehead Set (Part 9 - Year 2009)

This is probably the least appealing ST bobblehead set the Twins produced.  Dan Gladden, Ron Gardenhire, Rick Aguilera and Delmon Young make up this set - certainly leaves a lot to be desired huh?  And that's all I'm going to say.

And here's the comparison with the 2008 SGA bobblehead set.  Look on...in amazement...or perhaps sheer bore.  

Minnesota Twins ST Bobblehead Set (Part 4 - Year 2004)

Here's the 2004 Twins ST set.  Another pretty boring set.  Corey Koskie, Ron Gardenhire, Brad Radke, and Torii Hunter make up this set.

Obviously as you can see below, there are a few differences (finally) between the 2004 ST set and the 2003 SGA set.  Koskie has the same pose but is wearing a different uniform.  Same goes for Torii Hunter.  And beyond that the Twins replaced AJ Pierzynski and Eddie Guardado with Ron Gardenhire and Brad Radke.

Minnesota Twins SGA Bobblehead Set (Part 9 - Year 2008)

Ahhh...out with a bang?  No, a thump?  No, not that either...maybe just a lowly whimper?  This set leaves a lot to be desired.  This was the final set of 4 the Twins did as SGAs.  None of these are very valuable. The set includes Dan Gladden, Ron Gardenhire, Rick Aguilera and Delmon Young.  Nothing too interesting or intriguing about this set at all.  Perhaps the whimper this set stirred up caused the Twins to rethink this promotion for future years?
