Sneak Peek - Brian Dozier Fort Myers Miracle

Today, the Miracle giveaway Brian Dozier bobbleheads to the first 1000 fans!  This is the first in a set of 5 that will surely be a popular hit with Twins fans across the country!

Sneak Peek - Brian Dozier Fort Myers Miracle (1st of 5)

In just 2 short weeks, the Miracle will be giving away a Brian Dozier bobblehead!  This will be the 1st of 5 bobbles Fort Myers is doing.  They are celebrating their affiliation with the big club.  Soon, you'll see pictures of their next giveaway (Joe Mauer)!  I believe these will be full sized bobbles and I love the look of this one, its a fielding action pose of the All Star 2nd Baseman! 

Fort Myers Miracle Bobblehead Set

I'm pleased to announce the Fort Myers Miracle are doing a bobblehead set this season.  The set will consist of 5 current and former Twins.  Obviously all 5 of those players have Miracle ties as well.  I've included these dates on front page of my blog, but here they are again. 

Brian Dozier - April 14th
Joe Mauer - May 19th
Jose Berrios - June 30th
Torii Hunter - July 21st
Byron Buxton - September 1st

A lot of times, minor league teams do various bobbleheads that have a connection to any of the teams they've been affiliated with the past and plenty that are local celebrities.  As a Twins fan, I'm super excited about this set of 5. 

After speaking with a highly credible source, it was interesting to learn about the process a minor league team goes through.  The team requests to do specific players.  Once the Twins review that request, they provide a handful of pictures of each player to base the bobblehead from.  The minor league team picks the jersey and the Miracle are trying to do poses that represent each player the best.  For example, the Joe Mauer bobblehead is in a batting pose while the Byron Buxton bobblehead will be in a fielding pose.  More to come as I plan on blogging about each individual player and hopefully will have picture evidence of them as well. 

New Addition - Brian Dozier Star Wars Bobblehead

The Twins held Star Wars night on Wednesday and for those of us that had the special ticket to receive the bobblehead, this is the bobblehead that was given away.  Brian Dozier Stormtrooper.  The chest plate and the mask both are removable (via magnets).  Success Promotions did another amazing job at the detail and sculpting of this one.  The box is awesome as well.  Its an incredible bobblehead!

The Twins released a picture of the Dozier Storm Trooper bobblehead today.  It's pretty sweet. Removable mask as well as chest plate.  Can't wait to add this one to the collection!  Here's the previous post!  You can see the name on the base has changed a little bit.  I wonder if the back of the base will say something!  We'll know in a little over a month!

I'll update the blog as soon as I can once more details (and pictures) are revealed.  Typically pictures aren't available until closer to the giveaway date as I'm sure the Twins are only in initial stages right now of developing and creating each bobblehead with the vendor.  I believe (and I'm very happy to have this belief) Success Promotions will be doing several of the bobbles, I can't say for certain that it'll be all of them, but at least a few!

Sneak Peek - Brian Dozier Storm Trooper Bobblehead

The Star Wars Edition bobblehead will be a Storm Trooper Brian Dozier.  I'm sure Dozier was the first pick for the Star Wars bobble but am guessing there had to be a 2nd and maybe even 3rd option because of all the trade speculation Dozier was involved in.  Since he's still with the team, the Twins will do everything they can to promote him.  He's a fan favorite and lets face it, promoting a guy like him isn't hard for several reasons.  Low key, down to earth guy, clutch player and the more his name is out there, as long as his stats are solid, the more perceived value he has.

New Addition - Brian Dozier Bobblehead

I didn't know about this bobblehead until after I saw a picture of it post giveaway game.  The Bethesda Big Train is a collegiate summer baseball team that pulls players from local colleges.  The Big Train has done bobbles in the past, but obviously a Dozier bobblehead grabbed my attention.  He played on the team in 2006!  This is a really rare bobblehead too - only 250 were produced and given away!  Dozier has been on quite a streak the last month, so I wanted to post this while he was hot...even tho the Twins are struggling.

Brian Dozier Bobblehead

Yesterday it was Miguel Sano at the Twins game, today its Brian Dozier at the Beloit Snappers game. This also looks like a pretty sweet bobble.  Based on previous Snappers bobbles, I'm guessing this will be a bit smaller than the normal size bobble, it won't be a mini, but many minor league teams do bobbles that are in the 5 inch range.  I'm sure cost is the major factor, and they still are great looking bobbles!

Sneak Peek - Brian Dozier Bobblehead (Beloit Snappers)

We are in full swing of minor league and independent baseball teams releasing their promotional schedules for the upcoming season.  Many run social media "events" where they ask for so many likes, reposts, comments and then unveil the promo (the Twins did the same thing before they released their full promo schedule).  The Beloit Snappers are giving away a Brian Dozier bobblehead on June 19th, it'll be sponsored by TruGreen.  The Snappers are a former Twins affiliate - hence the Dozier giveaway.  Based on the last several bobbles the Snappers have done, this one will most likely be a 5-6 inch version, so not a true full size bobble, but much bigger than a mini.

Torii Hunter Season Ticket Bobblehead

So the Twins are at it again, this year giving out a limited edition Torii Hunter bobblehead to select Season Ticket Holders through their "Sweet Spot" program.  A couple have already sold on eBay for $100.  They say only 1300 were produced, which is less than last year's edition (Brian Dozier - 1500) and the year before (Joe Mauer - 2500).

So the picture is just of the box, but I promise the Hunter bobblehead is inside!

Willmar Stingers Bobbleheads

Another Northwoods League set of bobbleheads.  The Stingers usually do 1 or 2 bobblehead giveaways per season.  These bobbleheads are all from the past few years.  Jordan Smith, Hunter Dozier and Barry the mascot.  I haven't been able to confirm if these are giveaways or retail versions of the bobbleheads...I'm guessing retail tho.  All are great looking bobbleheads!  I don't think Hunter is related to Twins star, Brian Dozier.

I believe Molitor, Hughes and Dozier will all be produced by Success Promotions and the 1965 Vintage style will be made by BDA.  Once I get a picture of the Molitor bobblehead, I'll be sure to post it!  

Surprise addition to the Twins 2015 Bobblehead Lineup

Today the Twins announced another one of their 2015 promotions.  For the 2nd day in a row, its a bobblehead.  Yesterday I blogged about the Brian Dozier bobblehead.  I figured Phil Hughes and Paul Molitor would get some Twitter love when the Twins did their TweetPeek of their bobbleheads, but so far, they haven't.  Today's TweetPeek is a Vintage style looking bobblehead boy.  Several other MLB teams have done this vintage style giveaways in years past, but the Twins haven't, until now. Here's the picture!

Also, after sending a couple emails I have a bit more information on the Brian Dozier bobblehead.  The look of it made it appear to be a Forever Collectibles bobblehead.  Good news (at least for me) it's not!  It's from Success Promotions.  They also did the Dozier STH bobble and the Wild set from last year.  I'm a fan of their work and am glad the Twins used them for Dozier again in 2015.  I'm not sure who did the Vintage bobble, it looks like a TEI (Twins Enterprises) but I have a feeling, its not.  Once I get more info on that...I'll let you know!

Oh and this was my view last night...and hopefully will be the same exact view for the next 10 evenings.  Maui Sunset...nothing better.  

Brian Dozier SGA Bobblehead

It's 10:17 where I'm at right now (Maui)...rainy but beautiful.  Doing a little work at the moment and got this picture that my buddy Zane sent me.  It's the first bobblehead the Twins have released.  Brian Dozier giveaway on July 25th.  It certainly appears to be a Forever Collectibles bobblehead, the base is a dead giveaway.  I've sent a couple emails to try to confirm that.  I'll update the blog once I learn more.  Here's the picture!

Oh...and I'm not missing the snow that Minneapolis is getting right now one bit.  I might not blog much over the next 10 days...and there is good reason for it.  I'm on vacation right now, but I will be working a little bit and on rainy days...I'll try to blog now and then.  Back to regular blogging on February 23rd.  

2015 Minnesota Twins Bobbleheads

Recently the Twins announced 3 bobbleheads from the upcoming season.  I don't have pictures yet, but when I do, I'll obviously post them!  Drum roll please...

The 3 bobbleheads will be, Paul Molitor, Phil Hughes and Brian Dozier.  None of these names are all that surprising.  Molitor was almost a certainty the second he was named manager.  And the other two are well deserving.  I was hoping we'd get some younger blood in terms of bobbleheads. Oswaldo Arcia, Danny Santana or Kennys Vargas?  Maybe some new blood in the likes of Ervin Santana?  Or even some future blood (I'm half joking) with studs Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano. I'm sure there will be a season ticket bobblehead and maybe one of those guys will turn out later in the season.

Brian Dozier STH Bobblehead

Just like the past few years the Twins did a bobblehead giveaway to select season ticket holders. The season ticket holders to rank giveaways and maybe even specifically bobbleheads high enough on their "wish list" received a certificate redeemable for a Brian Dozier bobblehead.  During the final homestand of the season, people with these certificates had to redeem them for their Dozier bobblehead at the start of each of the games.  A limited number of these were produced, only 1500! Much less than the 2500 Joe Mauer bobbleheads from last season's STH giveaway.

Mystery ASG Bobblehead - Not so mysterious anymore

At Target Field on September 6th, the Twins will give away this years final ASG bobblehead.  I previously blogged about this, read it here.  In that blog, I mentioned that the most likely candidates were Joe Mauer or Glen Perkins, hoping it would be Perk.  I was half right.  I doubt many people would have guessed Kurt Suzuki would have been an option!  And just tonight MLB announced that Brian Dozier will be in the Home Run Derby.  I don't think any other Twins players will be added to the roster so at this point the "to be determined" player is either Perkins, Suzuki or Dozier.  I'm not sure if Dozier would "qualify" as he's not in the All Star Game, but the Twins could certainly choose to do his bobblehead and not many people would be offended.  But I would have to think all signs point to it being Perkins (no offense to Suzuki).  Perk is a team guy, local sports hero, great in the community and a guy the Twins want on this team for the long term. Based on my February post, obviously you know I'm biased but for good reason.  Hell that reason should only have to be, cuz I like Perkins, but he's a stud closer too. I'm hoping I can update this blog with a picture of a Perkins SGA bobblehead!
