The Saints are rereleasing some extra bobbleheads from the 2020 season.  This is the first.  

Jack Morris Bobblehead - St Paul Saints

The 4th bobblehead from the Saints this season is none other than Jack Morris.  Local legend and St Paul's own gets his Saints bobblehead tonight at CHS Field.

JD Drew Bobblehead - St Paul Saints

Continuing their celebration of 25 years, the Saint Paul Saints are giving this JD Drew bobblehead away today!  This is the 3rd in a set of 5 the Saints are doing!

New Addition - Bill Murray & Kevin Millar Dual

My latest addition to the collection is the dual given out by the St. Paul Saints featuring the iconic picture of Bill Murray and Kevin Millar.  Millar came back to play 1 more game for the Saints this past Saturday as well.  In his one at-bat, he hit a moonshot!  Pretty freaking cool for him, the team and the fans.  It was certainly a popular bobblehead too.  Plenty of people and I believe it was a sellout (or close to one).  The bobbles went pretty quick and its always a joy to be at CHS Field.

Sneak Peek - Saints Dual Bobblehead

The Saints are giving away 2000 Bill Murray/Kevin Millar bobbleheads this coming Saturday!  It's super sweet and is the best one they are doing this season (will be the most popular too).  Can't wait for Saturday!

Coming Soon: Ila Borders Bobblehead

The Duluth Huskies recently announced a bobblehead giveaway during their upcoming season.  On July 26th the Huskies will give away an Ila Borders bobblehead.  This actually is the 2nd Borders bobblehead giveaway of Borders this summer as the Saint Paul Saints are doing one on May 27th! As a collector my hope is they are different bobbles.  I haven't seen a picture of the Saints one yet.  She played parts of 3 seasons with Duluth (known then as a the Dukes) before moving to the WBL and then retiring in 2000.

Saints Bobbleheads - 2017

The Saint Paul Saints will be doing 5 bobblehead giveaways this season, celebrating their 25th season!  The only one announced so far is a dual bobble of Bill Murray and Kevin Millar from the first season in 1993.  The bobble is from a specific picture that is pretty popular.  See below.  It'll be a very cool bobblehead!  I'll update the blog with more info as I get it!

Bobblelection 2016 - Hillary Clinton & Donald Trump

Here are a few more new additions to my collection.  The top picture is Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump from the Fort Myers Miracle.  The bottom picture is from the St. Paul Saints.  Several minor and independent league teams did this giveaway.  The bobbles are exactly the same except for the plaques on the base.  But even tho its a minor detail, I wanted each set.  8 to 10 teams in total did these giveaways, if the plaques don't matter to you, it shouldn't be hard to find a set of them.

In the latest edition of bobblection bobbleheads the Saint Paul Saints are giving away Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump bobbleheads tonight!  They've done this the past several election years and I'm sure tonight's bobbles will be pretty popular!  Get down to CHS Field early to make sure you get yours!

New Addition - Bill Veeck

I recently saw this bobblehead of Bill Veeck for sale and pulled the trigger pretty fast.  I didn't know much about it, but thought it was a cool bobblehead and it has Minnesota ties - since Bill's son, Mike, is the owner of the Saint Paul Saints.  He was known as quite the promoter and the Saints have followed suit with their ideals and promotion plans.  This bobble was given out a few years ago by the Charleston RiverDogs and not only features a bobblehead, but also a bobble-leg. Sneak Peek - St. Paul Saints Dan Stoltz Bobblehead

The Saints are giving away this cool bobblehead tonight.  It's the second version of a Dan Stoltz bobblehead the Saints have done (last year they did a King Boreas version - from the Winter Carnival).  Dan is the CEO of Spire Credit Union which has sponsored both bobbleheads.  This year, he's being recognized as the Commodore of the Minneapolis Aquatennial! The detail and craftsmanship on this bobblehead (along with the one from last year) is awesome.  It's a pretty sweet looking bobblehead and I'll have it in my collection soon!

2016 Bobbleheads - St. Paul Saints

I had a feeling the Saints (and other independent teams out there) will be doing bobbleheads related to the Presidential Election this year.  I received confirmation this morning that bobblelection bobbles will indeed be given away at Saints games this season.  I'm unsure of the date(s), but I'll of course pass them along once I have accurate information.

So get ready for bobbleheads featuring (most likely) either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

St Paul Saints Vintage Bobblehead

Here's a vintage version of a St Paul Saints bobblehead that I picked up at a garage sale recently.  I think this is the first one the Saints gave away in 2000.  It isn't in the best condition, but I hadn't seen one for a while and I got it for a really good price.

Another Coleman/Franken bobblehead?

Yep, recently came across this one.  The St. Paul Saints did a giveaway of the "Re-count" bobblehead, where on one side was Al Franken and the other side was Norm Coleman.  Here they are pictured standing together.  I think these were given away at some political party out east.

Another Twig Bobblehead

Wayne Terwilliger was a first base coach for the Twins and Manager of the Saint Paul Saints and then the Fort Worth Cats.  The Saints did a giveaway bobblehead of "Twig" several years ago and the Cats followed suit once he became manager.  I've been looking for this one for a while and finally found a good one.  I had seen others but there was always issues with them.  The head was broke, the cake was broke, had to be something...but I was patient and found this one recently.  It's a birthday bobblehead celebrating his 80th birthday, which was in 2005!

Want List (Part 2)

My second post in this series revolves around the Saint Paul Saints.  The Saints have definitely had some interesting giveaways in the past and their bobbleheads have been a big part of that.  I believe I'm missing 2 from having a complete set.  The first is Duke Snider and the 2nd is a Vintage Saints nodder.  I think the Vintage nodder is from the 2000 season and I'm unsure when the Duke Snider bobblehead came out.  Neither are super rare or valuable, but definitely would like to add them to my collection!

What a month!

I've had wonderful luck over the past month or so.  Easily the best month of my extremely short collecting career.  I've also been able to replenish a dwindling stock of bobbleheads to sell - gotta pay for the collecting side somehow, right?  I've blogged about a few of the bobbleheads I've picked up.  I plan on blogging about a couple others in the very near future.  A quick estimate would say I've added nearly 50 bobbleheads to my collection over the last several weeks while I've added about 60 bobbleheads to sell.  Obviously my hope is that I can sell the 60 for enough to pay for themselves as well as the almost 50 bobbleheads I'm keeping!  Ideal, but ideal doesn't always work.  And sometimes it takes months and months to sell everything.  So we'll see how things go!

Charlie Brown Bobblehead Day

Today the Saints did a 2nd edition of the Charlie Brown bobblehead.  I had previously blogged about this, check it out here.  Based on some limited intel - I was worried it was going to be the same exact bobblehead.  Luckily its different and easily defined as the 2014 version or 2nd edition.  Prices on eBay are already crazy.  For those of you with patience...wait a week or two...Im sure they'll come down a bit.  I'm betting plenty of people walked out of Midway Stadium with a handful of bobbleheads.  1000 were given away and several will find their way to eBay and/or Craigslist.  Below is a picture of the one from today.
