Eden Prairie High School Bobblehead

Here's another high school bobblehead for my collection.  Saw this one in a lot that I recently bought. Pretty cool bobblehead from Eden Prairie High School.  My hunch is this was produced after one of their many state football championships.  However, it could be for some other sport or extra-curricular event too as they are a powerhouse of sorts!

Playworks

I don't know much about this one, but from what I could find this is the "mascot" for a Child Care Provider called Playworks.  Check them out here.  They are based in Prior Lake and the mascot on the website appears to be the same one as the bobblehead.  It looks like they celebrated their 20th anniversary (somewhat recently), perhaps the bobblehead was from that.  Cool either way and another one for the collection!

St Paul Saints Vintage Bobblehead

Here's a vintage version of a St Paul Saints bobblehead that I picked up at a garage sale recently.  I think this is the first one the Saints gave away in 2000.  It isn't in the best condition, but I hadn't seen one for a while and I got it for a really good price.

Harry the Hound - ASL

I picked up this random bobblehead a few weeks ago.  It's produced by Harris Communications out of Eden Prairie.  ASL stands for American Sign Language.  I'm not sure if its truly MN related or not, but since it was from Harris Communications I figured I'd buy it.  It's a pretty cool bobblehead but so far I haven't been able to find much!

Torii Hunter Season Ticket Bobblehead

So the Twins are at it again, this year giving out a limited edition Torii Hunter bobblehead to select Season Ticket Holders through their "Sweet Spot" program.  A couple have already sold on eBay for $100.  They say only 1300 were produced, which is less than last year's edition (Brian Dozier - 1500) and the year before (Joe Mauer - 2500).

Here's the detail from the Twins and once I have the bobblehead I'll take a close-up!

So the picture is just of the box, but I promise the Hunter bobblehead is inside!

Concordia Mascot - Kernel Cobb

I've been looking for this one (there are 2 versions of it) for a while and even asked a buddy of mine who lives in the Fargo-Moorhead area for favor...(Ross, he's currently working on it...but it's not going well).  Randomly found this one at a garage sale this summer.  Here's Kernel Cobb...the mascot of the Cobbers.  Pretty cool bobblehead - especially for a kid who grew on on a corn farm!  This is a "Power Bowl" bobblehead, which was a football game played between Concordia and Moorhead State.  I mentioned there were 2 versions of this one...the other one has Concordia College on the base instead of Power Bowl.  Same goes for the Moorhead bobblehead!

Almost 2 weeks - ugh...

So it's been roughly 2 weeks since my last blog post and I've only done 1 in nearly a month.  That is terrible!  What isn't terrible is how busy I've been.  I should have been posting about how slow its been...oh wait, I did that and then remarkably it was no longer slow.  Not sure how that works, but it's been crazy of late.  I do expect things to quiet down quite a bit now that baseball season is coming to a close, which also means garage sale season is slowing down.

I have several blogs lined up...I know, I know...I've said that a time or two recently...it's been true every time I've said it.  But this time, I'm finally going to blog...ya know...type words on a computer and hit the nice little orange "publish" button so these appear for the world to see...ahem...I mean the few followers I have to see.

Let's start the hour countdown in 3, 2...1...GO!

September Slowness!

Fellow bobblehead collectors...it's been a slow month for me.  However I did pick up a few one ones which I'll be blogging about shortly.  Why not right this minute - currently I'm waiting to get my camera back so I can take higher quality pictures (than my phone takes).  Once I have that, expect to see many new additions.  And in the coming months (I'd expect before Christmas) I'll be sharing some pretty exciting news!!  So...hang with me on this!!
