New Addition - Nordy

As I'm watching the Wild game tonight (they are losing 2-1 right now...the streak is on the line) I figured I should blog about my most recent addition.  It was one of my biggest wants in terms of bobbleheads that I know about.  I believe this Nordy bobblehead was sold at the Hockey Lodge (inside the Xcel Energy Center) several years ago.  The weird thing (and I've always known this) is there were 2000 of these as its numbered on the bottom.  I've been looking for this bobble for well over 3 or 4 years.  Finally was able to find it and add it to the collection.  And I'm damn happy about that!  Go Wild!

New Addition - Eagan Wildcats

Yet another bobblehead I never knew existed until I saw it!  And I'm sure there are plenty of other high school related bobbleheads that are out there.  If you know of any, please let me know!! Obviously I'd love to add it to the collection.  For now, a few new high school bobbles a year will have to do!  Introducing the Eagan Wildcats High School bobblehead!  Not only is it a bobblehead, its also a bobble-belly!

Looking forward to 2017

For the most part, it's not very difficult to find most of the current MN bobbles.  Typically the hardest are theme events and season ticket hold bobbles from the Twins.  So I've been expanding the collection a bit - looking at former minor league affiliates of the Twins.  I've found a few more but a lot of minor league clubs want to promote current players or fan favorites, and lets face it...there aren't a ton of fan favorites when it comes to Twins players from minor league teams.  However, the Salt Lake Bees (formerly the Salt Lake Buzz) did a David Ortiz bobblehead this past season that I previously blogged about.  Those are exactly the kind of bobbleheads I'm adding to my collection now.

Typically the collecting year starts with Twinsfest.  However, one of my favorite days of the year is January 7th.  Also known as National Bobblehead Day.  It'll be trending on pretty much all social media sites and its pretty damn fun to see other collections and specific bobbleheads.  I believe come February the Twins will announce their promotional schedule and we'll learn more about the bobbleheads they plan on doing in 2017!  Their minor league affiliates will most likely start announcing their promos in February or March.

Year in Review

I use to keep a list of goals or wants when it comes to my own bobblehead collection.  That didn't really happen this year.  I continue to want any and all Minnesota related bobbleheads.  I also continue to find new unknown Minnesota related bobbleheads.  I hope that continues for years to come.  I'm positive there were plenty of Minnesota based companies (big and small) that made bobbleheads in the early to mid 2000s.  Those are truly hidden treasures in my mind...not because they are all that valuable, but because they fit exactly what I'm looking for in my collection.

I also find quite a bit of joy from helping others.  There have been a handful of other collectors that I've helped find specific bobbleheads to complete specific sets in their collections (and actually helping a couple right now complete bigger sub-sets in their collections).  I don't find many that I need anymore (just the random ones like I mentioned above) so when I do find something someone wants, I get the same excited feeling I got when I found a bobblehead for my collection!

So if you are looking for something specific, let me know!

Twins 2017 Bobbleheads

The past several years the Twins have sent out emails to season ticket holders regarding giveaway packages they can purchase.  I use to get them through my boss so have known about this opportunity for a while.  It's a great idea for the Twins, selling items that would be given away for free.  Many other pro teams do the same thing.  They usually share a few specific items that are part of the package and that's where bobbleheads come in.

For 2017 there are bobbleheads (yes, plural - which means at least 2) so I'm happy already but based on recent history my hunch is between 3 and 4.  There will also be a theme night Star Wars edition bobblehead.  And lastly there will be another Sweet Spot edition bobblehead.  These are the hardest to come by and usually have a production run between 1000 and 1500.  They are only given to select season ticket holders - making them valuable, hard to find, and of course - expensive.

Plenty of collectors have discussed possible candidates for the bobbleheads this year.  I really have no clue.  The current team is tough because they are so many unproven players scattered with a few veterans who have recently had bobbles.  For whatever reason the Twins don't like to do bobbles of the same players in consecutive years.  Joe Mauer and Byron Buxton are 2 good bets.  Personally I'd love to see someone like Frank Viola get a bobble, wouldn't a Sweet Music bobble be awesome?  It'll be interesting to see who they come up with!

Twinsfest 2017

It's that time of year again that the Twins announce details surrounding Twinsfest.  Twinsfest 2017 will be held from January 27th through January 29th.  No surprise there as its typically at the end of January.  More details can be found here.  They'll update that more page with info over the next several weeks and then probably a week or so before the event, they'll release the map and details surrounding the player autograph sessions and other events they have during the weekend.  I typically try to hit up the Friday session with a buddy of mine.  We've had good luck in the past and it should be another fun time.  I was somewhat hoping they'd move to a different location.  Personally, I think its hard for Target Field to handle the event since its not an all enclosed stadium like the dome was. The memorabilia and collectors showcase use to be really good (tons of vendors) but had dropped significantly the past few years because of limited space.

New Addition - Casey Blake Bobblehead

Here's another new addition I recently picked up for a pretty good price.  Casey Blake (briefly played for the Twins) depicted here in his Indianola High School jersey.  Blake was a stud high school athlete that the Iowa Cubs recognized with a bobblehead (pretty much the ultimate honor, right)!  It's not exactly a Minnesota themed bobble, but since I knew about this one for a while, I've always kept my eyes open for it, tho it was only limited to 1500 and many Iowa fans Im sure have this one sitting on a display because of his local popularity!

Puckett Autographed Bobblehead

Sometimes you search for specific things and find exactly what you want, sometimes you just get plain lucky (aka - Ploehn luck).  A recent lot of bobbleheads I purchased were several Puckett bobbles.  I think 6 total, but many several were the same one.  From the pictures I received, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.  Most times when I buy lots of bobbles I spend more time talking to the seller than actually looking at the bobbles.  I know enough about bobbles that after a quick glance I can tell if there is any damage (thats usually the only thing I look for).  For novice collectors, the main things you want to focus on when inspecting a bobblehead is the neck area and base for any chips or cracks.  If its a newer bobble where its not a standard player/mascot standing straight up, you'll want to look at any area that sits further away from the body of the bobble (the more distance the better chance of possible damage).

Once I got them home, I put them on a shelf and didn't think about them for a few weeks.  Then as I was looking thru them, taking a closer look at them...magic happened.  One was autographed.  Even tho I'm not an autograph guy, I know a decent amount about Puckett signatures and also have 2 buddies who know a ton about Puckett auto's.  So, Im pretty sure it's a legit signature and will be staying in my collection.  I believe thats a total of 3 Puckett bobbleheads that I have autographed!

New Addition - Bernie Gerl Bobblehead

Here's a recent addition of mine!  Bernie Gerl (click his name to learn more) has a fascinating yet tragic story.  The Duluth Huskies gave out this bobblehead earlier this summer.  Thanks to a friend of mine I was able to add it to the collection.  The Huskies kept this as a secret until the giveaway actually happened.  People waiting in line didn't know what bobblehead they were getting, even several Huskies employees didn't know.  Bernie Gerl didn't even know they were doing a bobblehead of him.  The Huskies worked with Bernie's family (who knew he'd absolutely love the bobble) to get the bobblehead produced.  This was quite a surprise to everyone in Duluth and a pretty memorable night at the ballpark.

Now, more about the bobble itself.  Obviously it has TONS of detail - which I love.  The catcher's gear is amazing.  The fact that the chest protector is being held is awesome.  And beyond that, its a nice heavy bobblehead.  I'd have to say...out of all bobblehead giveaways in 2016 (that I collect, which means anything related to Minnesota and their affiliates) this is the best one.  The detail, the weight, nothing is cheap about this bobble!

New Addition - Bud Grant Bobblehead

I acquired this bobblehead a while ago and finally got around to getting some pictures of it.  I had only heard about this one from a buddy of mine who is a memorabilia dealer.  He had a picture of it and I was hooked.  Then he told me there were only 3 produced...ever.  I believe the 3 in circulation (really they aren't circulating anywhere) were prototypes.  The 2 guys that had them made, brought them to Bud to sign off on (after he originally gave the go-ahead).  Bud ended up not signing off on them so they weren't produced for retail sale.

I told my friend, if he ever got one or knew of one that was available, I'd definitely be interested in it. Luckily that day came and I was able to add it to my collection.  This one is priceless and I definitely spent a pretty penny but in my mind, its the star of my collection.

New Addition - David Ortiz

This might be my favorite minor league bobblehead from the 2016 season.  It's from the Salt Lake Bees, formerly known as a the Buzz (that's when Ortiz played for them).  It's a full sized bobblehead which I can't say is typical of minor league teams.  I love minor league bobbleheads and the teams and marketing efforts they put forth but many of them do something smaller than the standard (7 inch tall) bobblehead.

New Addition - Pheasants Forever

Another new add for me is a Pheasants Forever hunting bobblehead.  Obviously this is a noteworthy Minnesota non-profit group.  My mother-in-law found this bobblehead for me and I was pretty damn happy to add it to the collection.  It's just crazy to see what is out there and what you never know about until you actually set it in person (or through a picture if you happen to get lucky).  This one is damaged as I believe the barrel of the shotgun is missing, however, Im not going to worry about that until I find one in better condition!

Charlie Brown Bobblehead - Twins Edition

Here's another new addition of mine.  This was produced by Forever Collectibles (yeah, I'm usually not a fan) and its a nice and heavy bobblehead.  There is a set of these that also include other characters from Peanuts.  Eventually I'd like to have the whole set, but for now, Charlie Brown will do!

New Addition - Target Field Replica

I've been hunting for this stadium replica for quite a while.  I've known about it for a long time but have only seen it in pictures.  I thought I was possibly going to acquire it through a friend of a friend who has connections with the Twins, but the Twins employee who owned it couldn't part with it.  This is not the SGA version.  You'll notice 2 main differences, the first is on the outside base - it says "Target Field Inaugural Season 2010" in gold and the second difference is on the bottom where its numbered out of 1122.  There is 1 more difference, but hard to tell through pictures, it's actually significantly bigger than the SGA replica.  The story behind this is that the Twins had these made and gave them to Twins employees during the 2010 season.

New Addition - Justin Morneau Target Field Exclusive

One of my latest additions is a Justin Morneau bobblehead.  I actually didn't know about this bobblehead until I found it.  I knew about its "set-mates" (Joe Mauer and TC Bear) as the Bear is one of my most wanted (yeah yeah, I'll update my want list at some point soon).  I believe this is a set of 3 that was only available at the Majestic Team Store at Target Field in 2010.  Pretty sweet bobble and I specifically like it because of the base!

Twins Top 10 List - #1

For those of you who know about this bobblehead, it was probably pretty easy to guess at it being number 1 on this list.  This is a real bobblehead and it was a gift to specific people who attended Carl Pohlad's 90th birthday party.  Only close friends and extremely high ranking Twins officials were invited.  Production run on these is said to be 50.  Good luck finding one and if you do, expect to pay an arm and both legs.  Limited to only 50 is absolutely crazy.

Twins Top 10 List - #2

This was definitely the number 2 bobblehead on my list.  The Joe Mauer/Justin Morneau dual red base bobble is one of the rarest of all Twins bobbleheads.  It was given to new season ticket holders who signed up at the Minnesota State Fair.  I've heard the production number on these to be around 200 (or less).  That doesn't surprise me at all since they are nearly impossible to find.

Twins Top 10 List - #3

I've blogged about the top 3 bobbles previously.  I picked the Kent Hrbek Outdoors bobble as my number 3 because it's a bit easier to find than either of the top 2 bobbles, but still extremely difficult to find.  These bobbleheads were table centerpieces during the 2007 ALS Gala where Carrier was the guest of honor.  Hrbek, the spokesman for Carrier loved the idea of a bobblehead and coupled with his past with the Twins and his Outdoors show, a bobblehead was born.  Good luck finding them, as they are extremely difficult to track down.

Twins Top 10 List - #4

Here's another Harmon Killebrew bobblehead (c'mon, you can't be surprised).  This one is from the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament several years ago.  The tournament is held in Sun Valley Idaho and benefits leukemia research.  This was one of the gifts to golfers, and most of them were signed by Harmon.  Obviously the signature bumps it up a couple notches on the Top 10 list.  I haven't seen one in quite some time and they definitely fetch a pretty penny!

Twins Top 10 List - #5

Everyone knows who Bert Blyleven is, he makes sure of that.  This is commonly referred to as the "Circle me Bert" bobblehead.  What many people don't know is that there are 2 versions (shown below).  The only difference is the color of his pants and of course the production run of each.  The blue pants version is out of 1987 (World Series win) and the tan pants is numbered out of 287 (career win total).  These were retail bobbles and did have COAs with them, they were sold to raise money for The Parkinson Association of Minnesota .  Of course number 5 is the more limited tan pants version.  I rarely see it available!

Twins Top 10 List - #6

I had a hard time placing this one within the top 10.  It'd definitely a top 10 Twins bobble, but it could have easily been number 4 and probably could have been 8 or 9 too.  I think there are a few reasons in my head that it end up at number 6.  First off, this is a retail bobblehead, typically this means it isn't rare nor valuable.  However, in this case, the Minnie & Paul dual is definitely both rare and valuable.  It's limited to 1008 and was sold for a sweet $29.99.  Hindsight says I should have bought every damn one of these that I could!  However, I didn't find my first set until a couple summers ago, at a garage sale.  Lots of collectors love this Twins bobble, many will say this is the best Twins bobblehead out there, its a nice heavy, well painted, solid AGP bobble!

Twins Top 10 List - #7

A little foreshadowing - this isn't the only Harmon Killebrew bobble in the top 10.  Harmon grew up in Payette, Idaho where the city annually celebrates Harmon Killebrew Days!  This was a giveaway at one of the first Killebrew Days, depicting Harmon in his high school jersey.  I believe this one was limited to something around 250 (or less).  Obviously he's a local hero so these bobbles don't show up very often.  Luckily for me, mine is autographed!

Twins Top 10 List - #8

This is the first dual bobblehead of Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau.  The Fort Myers Miracle did this giveaway in 2007, its a bit smaller than the typical 7 inch variety.  I'm guessing this one is about 5 inches in height, so not a true "mini."  I think the production run on this one was 500, one of the rarest but when it comes to minor league bobbles, they typically don't do more than 1000 and a lot of collectors don't collect minor league bobbles.  It's definitely getting harder and harder to find, especially in good condition!

Twins Top 10 List - #9

Herb Carneal's only bobblehead is number 9 on my Twins Top 10 list.  I don't know a ton about this bobble, but I believe it was a "Make a Wish" charity/promotional bobblehead in the mid 2000s. Originally these came with a COA, but very rarely do you find them with the bobblehead, especially one of this rarity.

Twins Top 10 List - #10

Obviously this is an entirely objective list.  I do feel like I have plenty of knowledge when it comes to Twins bobbleheads.  I think most people will agree on the top 3 (order might be different to some). The same most likely can't be said for the last few in my top 10 list.  I'm not basing this ranking purely off of value either.  Let's be honest, when it comes to rare bobbleheads, the value is whatever someone is willing to pay.  Hypothetically I might have paid for the #5 overall bobblehead than #2.  I think this list compiles the 10 toughest to find Twins bobbles.

Checking in at number 10 is the Joe Mauer Friends and Family bobblehead.  Even tho this bobblehead has a red base, it is an SGA bobble.  Given specifically to people in the "Mauer Friends & Family" group (basically your game ticket said "Mauer Friends/Family").  All 10 of these bobbleheads are rare, otherwise they wouldn't be in this list.  This one is numbered out of 2500.

Ugh...It's been way too long!

So, its been almost 3 weeks since I've blogged.  Completely unacceptable.  I've got several blog posts lined up...but they don't count because they are just in my head.  Hopefully the wait has been somewhat worth it.  Let's be honest, my real hope is that all my readers will come back and check out the next "series" I have lined up.  Starting tomorrow, I'm doing series of the top 10 Minnesota Twins related bobbleheads.  So, check back often as the full list of 10 will be posted by the end of the month!

Maverick - Residers Bobblehead

This is Maverick from the Residers.  Unfortunately I don't know much else about this bobble.  The little I know - there was originally a set of 4 Residers bobbles to be produced, but only this one and one other one was made.  The side of the box said that they were a garage band that started in Minneapolis.  Cool, unique and totally up my alley.  Luckily for me, my buddy Chris found this and picked it up, knowing I'd probably have an interest.

One of the latest additions to my collection - a Paul Allen bobblehead from Canterbury Park.  This is the second edition of a PA bobblehead from Canterbury.  Given the Vikings 3-0 start to the season I figured now was a great time to post this, even tho Adrian Peterson has been lost for the season and we won't hear PA famously say "AP is Loose!" - as long as you have this bobblehead, you can hear it whenever you want.  (AP is Loose is also the name of a horse at Canterbury)

Bobblelection 2016 - Hillary Clinton & Donald Trump

Here are a few more new additions to my collection.  The top picture is Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump from the Fort Myers Miracle.  The bottom picture is from the St. Paul Saints.  Several minor and independent league teams did this giveaway.  The bobbles are exactly the same except for the plaques on the base.  But even tho its a minor detail, I wanted each set.  8 to 10 teams in total did these giveaways, if the plaques don't matter to you, it shouldn't be hard to find a set of them.

Sunday, September 25, 2016

Harmon Killebrew Payette Bobblehead

This is a new addition of mine.  A pretty rare Harmon Killebrew bobblehead from Payette, Idaho.  Killebrew grew up in Payette and this is the first edition of a Killebrew Payette bobblehead.  This is an extremely scarce bobble and rarely is seen for anything under $150.  The autograph, like most of Killebrew's is as solid as they come.  Pretty sweet bobble!!

Fall & Winter Slow down

As summer fades into fall, it typically signals a slow down in the bobblehead world.  We all know baseball teams (all of them it seems, no matter the league) are the best at giving away bobbleheads. Last year, the Wolves did a set of 5 bobbleheads and a few years ago the Wild did a set of 5 bobbleheads.  Other than that, the fall and winter have been extremely quiet in Minnesota when it comes to new bobbleheads.  Unfortunately that will likely stay the same this time around.  The Wild have announced their promotional schedule and no bobbleheads are included in it.  I've heard from the Timberwolves that its unlikely they do another set of bobbleheads this season.  They'd have the foundation for a nice set, starting off with top pick Kris Dunn.  Then you could do tribute bobbles for Flip Saunders and Kevin Garnett and why not a dual Rookie of the Year bobble for Wiggins and Towns?  People would go nuts over it!

However, at this point, thats only dreaming and its not looking very good.  So...I deal with it.  Perhaps it'll give me some time (ya know, cuz I have all sorts of that with an 11 week old at home) to organize my collection.

Custom Jim Kaat - Powder Blue Jersey

I've been putting together a little collection of custom powder blue jersey Twins bobbleheads, this is the latest in that series.  Jim Kaat.  I definitely like how this one turned out and the red base on it really pops.  None of these custom bobbleheads are easy and they are definitely time consuming.

New Addition - Dean & Rog Bobbleheads

I picked these 2 bobbleheads up recently, its a set of Dean & Rog, giveaway bobbleheads from the Houston Aeros (former affiliate of the Minnesota Wild).  Back in 2012, the Aeros did a giveaway of these 2 popular morning show hosts from the Houston area, I believe these are fairly limited but I'm unsure of the giveaway number.  They do lock together to make a nice little "dual" bobblehead!

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

New Addition - Brian Dozier Bobblehead

I didn't know about this bobblehead until after I saw a picture of it post giveaway game.  The Bethesda Big Train is a collegiate summer baseball team that pulls players from local colleges.  The Big Train has done bobbles in the past, but obviously a Dozier bobblehead grabbed my attention.  He played on the team in 2006!  This is a really rare bobblehead too - only 250 were produced and given away!  Dozier has been on quite a streak the last month, so I wanted to post this while he was hot...even tho the Twins are struggling.

New Addition - Sylvia Fowles

Here's the latest addition to my collection - a Sylvia Fowles bobblehead.  I've blogged about this one recently and just picked up mine today.  First time the Lynx have done a specialized box and as you all know, I'm a fan of them.  I understand the plain white boxes, but a nice box like this, letting you know what bobblehead is inside just adds a little!  As usual, the Lynx did a great job with the bobble, nothing crazy, but a classic basketball bobblehead.

Boof Bonser Bobblehead

I hadn't seen this bobblehead before...but its a 2016 SGA of Boof Bonser.  Got it on eBay a while ago.  I went back and forth on this one....since Boof is no longer a member of the Twins and this affiliate isn't Twins related, but with a name like Boof, how could I pass up his (probably) only bobblehead?  Bonser was inducted into the Hagerstown Suns Hall of Fame and they treated to him with his very own bobblehead.

New Addition - Miguel Sano Sweet Spot Bobblehead

The newest addition to my collection (from last night) is a Miguel Sano bobblehead.  These are commonly called "Sweet Spot" bobbleheads as season ticket holders rank various "Sweet Spot Benefits" and if you rank the player bobblehead high enough you get one towards the end of each season.  We found out about a couple weeks ago that Sano was the Sweet Spot bobble and the Twins began giving them to select season ticket holders last night.  Thankfully its produced by Success Promotions and is a great bobble, easily the best one (along with the Plouffe Star Wars - also by Success Promotions) of the season.

New Addition(s) - Craig Sager Bobbleheads

Plenty of people know who Craig Sager is and the battle he's enduring right now.  These bobbleheads have been on my want list for quite some time.  These 2 bobbleheads were giveaways from the Fort Myers Miracle (see, you most likely knew there had to be a Minnesota tie) back in 2013.  Sager is known for his colorful suits on TNT broadcasts and the Miracle did an excellent job to depict that within these 2 bobbleheads.  Obviously these haven't been easy to find and they didn't come cheap but I have them in my collection now.  Hopefully he continues to fight the good fight!

Tuesday, August 30, 2016

New Addition - Reese Gregory

Here's a recent new addition to the collection.  Reese Gregory from the St. Cloud Rox of the Northwoods League.  He's a pretty popular pitcher for the team and from a fan vote was voted the bobblehead this year.  I picked this up a couple weeks ago.  The Rox do some great full size bobbles, and just like last year, this one is one of 360 given away!

Sneak Peek - Bobblelection Day! St Paul Saints

In the latest edition of bobblection bobbleheads the Saint Paul Saints are giving away Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump bobbleheads tonight!  They've done this the past several election years and I'm sure tonight's bobbles will be pretty popular!  Get down to CHS Field early to make sure you get yours!

Monday, August 22, 2016

New Addition - Bill Veeck

I recently saw this bobblehead of Bill Veeck for sale and pulled the trigger pretty fast.  I didn't know much about it, but thought it was a cool bobblehead and it has Minnesota ties - since Bill's son, Mike, is the owner of the Saint Paul Saints.  He was known as quite the promoter and the Saints have followed suit with their ideals and promotion plans.  This bobble was given out a few years ago by the Charleston RiverDogs and not only features a bobblehead, but also a bobble-leg. Click the link above and this one to learn more about Bill Veeck!

New Addition - Ag Star Bobblehead

My latest addition is an Ag Star bobblehead.  I don't know much about it.  Having grown up on a farm, I know plenty about Ag Star but haven't seen much about the bobble.  I'm guessing back in the early 2000s (it just looks like most bobbles did back then) Ag Star produced a small allotment of bobbles for their locations and employees.  Ag Star is headquartered in Mankato, Minnesota.

Sneak Peek - Miguel Sano Sweet Spot Bobblehead

Another sneak peek, this time, it's the bobblehead the Twins are giving to select season ticket holders, commonly known as the "Sweet Spot" bobblehead.  It's definitely a very cool looking bobblehead and I'm pretty sure Success Promotions is behind it - which makes me very very happy!

Sneek Peak - Sylvia Fowles Bobblehead

Back in May I blogged about the Sylvia Fowles bobblehead the Lynx are giving out later this month (August 28th).  I've got a picture of it now and happy to show it off, just like all other recent Lynx bobbles, this is another solid one, and I'm pretty sure its by AGP.  Check it out!

Sneak Peek - Minnesota Wild Mascot Nordy

Here's a quick picture of a new Minnesota mascot coming out.  This is being produced by a fellow collector and I have to say - it looks absolutely awesome.  If you read my blog very often, you'll know I'm a mascot fan.  Hell, if I started collecting bobbleheads today - I'd focus on mascots.  Mascots are some of the best bobbleheads produced!  Introducing Nordy!

Thursday, August 4, 2016

Sneak Peek - St. Paul Saints Dan Stoltz Bobblehead

The Saints are giving away this cool bobblehead tonight.  It's the second version of a Dan Stoltz bobblehead the Saints have done (last year they did a King Boreas version - from the Winter Carnival).  Dan is the CEO of Spire Credit Union which has sponsored both bobbleheads.  This year, he's being recognized as the Commodore of the Minneapolis Aquatennial! The detail and craftsmanship on this bobblehead (along with the one from last year) is awesome.  It's a pretty sweet looking bobblehead and I'll have it in my collection soon!

New Addition - Ringo Bobblehead

I've been looking for this one for quite a while.  I new it was out there as a buddy of mine thought he had a deal for a couple of these.  The deal fell thru and I haven't seen one since.  Recently was able to pick this one up.  It's a giveaway bobble from the now defunct Alexandia Beetles of the Northwoods League.  Their mascot, Ringo has a couple different bobbleheads and this one seems to be the most rare (or at least the one I haven't seen much of).  If you are an avid reader of my blog, you'll know I enjoy mascot bobbleheads - because they look like this - super cool, pretty spot on and great detail.

New Addition - Eric Milton

I've been trying to keep up with the blog lately but thats proven to be quite a challenge with a 3 week old!  I've got several new additions ready to be blogged about and am hopeful that I can get them posted over the next couple of weeks. This is the second Eric Milton bobblehead I have - both are minis.  This is a giveaway from the State College Spikes.  Back in 2013, the Spikes honored Milton (a hometown hero) with his own mini bobblehead.  Read more about it here!

Paul Allen Bobblehead - Canterbury Park

Sunday the 21st of August is Minnesota Festival of Champions Day at Canterbury Park.  It'll feature 8 races with $600,000 in purse money up for grabs.  Canterbury Park is also giving away a Paul Allen talking bobblehead!  Obviously most of my readers will know what Canterbury Park is and who Paul Allen is.  If you don't, click the links. This will be PA's second Canterbury Park bobblehead.  A unique twist on this one is, its a talking bobblehead.  The first 4000 paid attendees will get the bobble and will be able to hear PA make his legendary call of "AP is Loose!"  You might think the audio is in reference to Vikings stud running back Adrian Peterson, but "AP is Loose" is also the name of a horse at Canterbury Park and is expected to run on August 21st!

I'm sure you'll hear PA make his iconic call this fall, but now you can hear it whenever you want - IF you get the bobblehead!  It's a great bobblehead and I can't wait to add it to my collection!!

Sneak Peek - Reese Gregory Bobblehead Day

Today the St. Cloud Rox are giving away a Reese Gregory bobblehead.  The Rox always do a good job with their bobbleheads.  Last year was their mascot Chisel and the year before that was local sports hero - Eric Decker.  Gregory was picked through a fan vote earlier this year, another solid looking bobblehead!

My newest bobblehead

The blog has taken a bit of a back seat lately...and that might not change for the near future.  My newest bobblehead is that of my baby girl, Anneliese.  Best.  Bobblehead.  Ever.
