New Addition - Coach PJ Fleck Bobblehead

Gopher football coach, PJ Fleck, has a couple bobbleheads.  Below is a full size, extremely hard to find bobble that was givenaway when he was at Western Michigan, of course its a "Row the Boat" bobblehead!  The size and weight of this bobble is amazing and the detail shouldn't be questioned either.  Such an Elite bobblehead!

Gopher Alumni Eric Decker Bobblehead

A few years ago the St. Cloud Rox (of the Northwoods League) gave away an Eric Decker bobblehead, of course Decker was "decked" out (see what I did there?) in Gopher colors.  Wanted to blog about this one since its football season and the Gophers are 2-0.  I'll have another Gopher related bobblehead up next!

Larry Culpepper Bobblehead

This one has nothing to do with Minnesota or 99% of my collection.  However, its a new addition and a pretty cool bobblehead.  Dr. Pepper made a bunch (I say a bunch because the production number isn't known, but they aren't super hard to find) of these Larry Culpepper bobbleheads.  I believe only given to Twitter followers (through giveaways) and fans at specific college football games.

PJ Fleck Mini Bobblehead

Row the Boat.  Ski U Mah.  PJ Fleck.  He's the new head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team.  So many people look at Fleck as a second version of Tim Brewster.  Fortunately for us Gopher fans, Fleck has actually been a successful head coach before.  Other than the enthusiasm, I don't think there is much of a comparison.  This a mini bobblehead, of course in a boat.  It's pretty sweet!

Goldy Bobbleheads - 2 more Gold Country Versions

Here are the other 2 bobbleheads from Gold Country.  I took this pictures from the web as mine are in storage right now.  Pretty obvious that these are football and basketball.  They are both pretty rare. I'm still hoping to find out more about the story behind these bobbles!

Goldy Bobbleheads - The Common 6

Here's a picture of the 6 most commonly seen Goldy bobbleheads. They were fairly easy to find a few years ago and still aren't uncommon, but more and more are damaged in one way or another.  There are 2 different baseball Goldy's.  The one in the white jersey was a giveaway at a baseball game with Hormel sponsoring it.  The other one, just like it's 4 counterparts are all part of the Rainbow Foods promotion.  You could find these on campus pretty easy when they were originally giveaways, and then later, you were able to buy them in Rainbow Foods stores.  I have seen both the wrestling Goldy as well as the basketball Goldy plaque-less.  I don't know the story behind those.  The hockey Goldy is the most valuable of the bunch and the wrestling Goldy is the one I see most commonly damaged. With his arms in front of him like they are, his fingers are often broken.

Check back soon for another variation of Goldy in bobblehead form!

Elk River Elks

Another high school mascot bobblehead!  This time, from the Elk River Elks hockey program. I believe this one is thru a booster club who supports the hockey team.  This is a pretty cool bobblehead, just like it's football counterpart.  They'll look good with my other small collection of high school bobbleheads.

High School bobbles? Yes please!

I know there are a handful of Minnesota High School bobbleheads.  There has to be.  I haven't seen many, but since a couple schools have done them, I'm sure a few more have as well!

I recently added a couple of these to my collection.  I don't know much about either.  The first is from Apple Valley.  I haven't really found any information on this one. The second is Elk River, I know it comes from their football booster club.  Their hockey program also did a bobblehead!  As always, if you know anything about either of these or know other High Schools who have made bobbleheads, please let me know!!  Much appreciated!
